Mr. Keith Fredericks
Keith Fredericks is an engineer, scientist and author. Keith Fredericks research interests include the detection of elementary particles with nuclear emulsions, the observer in quantum mechanics, computational vision systems, computer graphics and high-performance computing. He has spent the last year on a project to understand the mechanisms of anomalous particle tracks in photographic emulsions. Keith’s background in computational vision goes back over 25 years. He founded the Virtual Reality Lab at Cray Research, building systems for tracking, gesture recognition and stereoscopic visualization including the first commercial massively parallel rendering and animation system. He served as CTO at a number of companies. Keith is currently CEO at General 3D, a company building stereoscopic 3D systems.Keith studied photographic science and engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology, where his thesis work on the sensitivity of nuclear track emulsions earned him a prestigious CIA research grant.
