Dr. Frank Gordon

After receiving a BSME in 1967 and a Doctor of Engineering degree in 1971 from the Universit SPAWAR Sy of Kansas, Dr. Gordon accepted a position at a U.S. Navy Research and Development Laboratory in San Diego that is currently namedystems Center. During his 38 year career, he held various scientific and senior technical management positions and was a member of the Navy's Senior Executive Service for more than 22 years. At the time of his retirement in 2009, he was the head of the Research and Applied Sciences department, composed of more than 450 scientists and engineers and an annual budget of more than $300 million.

In 1989, scientists in his department included Dr's Stan Szpak and Pamela Mosier-Boss who were conducting research into high energy density batteries. Following the Fleischmann-Pons announcement, they immediately began experiments to investigate the phenomena using the co-deposition method proposed by Szpak. Their experimental results have been documented in more than 25 peer-reviewed papers. Since retiring, Dr. Gordon is working full-time with another retired SPAWAR scientist conducting LENR research.
